Walking - From the front door of the hotel there are walks to suit all capabilities
These walks include the John Buchan Way which covers 13 miles from Peebles to Broughton.
There are also many forest walks which are clearly sign-posted in Glentress, Cardrona, and Thornielee Forests.
For easy local walks there are picturesque walks along the banks of the Tweed which is 500 yards from the entrance of the hotel. There are also many short walks around the town and towards Neidpath castle.
Fishing - Due to our location on the Tweed, we are extremely popular with fishermen of all types. The Tweed is a world renowned salmon river, but also caters for trout fishing through the summer months.
We also have local fisheries which offer fishing for all capabilities.
Others - We are also ideally situated for visitors to the Borders for Mountain Biking, Horse Racing, Rugby, and many other sports. |
