The Green Tree Hotel dates back to the 1870's and has always been a focal point for Peebles social life, as well as being popular with visitors. These include the Beltane Common Riding, The Arts Festival, The Jazz Festival, The Highland Games, The Agricultural Show, and The Rugby Sevens. All these events bring a traditional vibrancy to Peebles that is hard to find elsewhere in modern Scotland. The Green Tree is a perfect base for the many outdoor activities in the area as well as being an excellent stopping place for coach tours.
